Use the password reset option when you cannot remember your Deskfactor password or need to create a new one.
This guide explains how to request a password reset and regain access to your Deskfactor account.
Before you begin
Make sure that:
- You have access to the email address registered with your Deskfactor account
- You are using the correct email address
- Your organization and or personal account is active
Step 1: Open the Deskfactor login page
Go to the Deskfactor login page.
Select Forgot Password below the login form.
Step 2: Enter your email address
Enter the email address associated with your Deskfactor account.
Make sure the email address is entered correctly, then select Send Password Reset Link.
Step 3: Open the password reset email
Check the inbox of the email address you entered.
Look for a password reset email from Deskfactor.
If you cannot find the email, check your spam, junk, promotions, or other filtered folders.
Step 4: Open the reset link
Open the email and select Reset Password.
You will be redirected to the Deskfactor password reset page.
Password reset links are time-sensitive and may expire after a certain period.
Step 5: Create a new password
Enter your new password and confirm it.
Your new password must meet the security requirements shown on the page.
Use a password that:
- Is difficult to guess
- Is different from your previous password
- Is not used for another account
- Includes a secure combination of characters
Select Reset Password to save the new password.
Step 6: Sign in to Deskfactor
After the password has been reset successfully, return to the Deskfactor login page.
Enter your registered email address and new password, then select Sign In.
Password reset email not received
If you do not receive the email:
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Wait a few minutes and check your inbox again.
- Confirm that you entered the correct email address.
- Make sure you are checking the email account linked to Deskfactor.
- Submit another password reset request.
Repeated requests may be temporarily restricted for security reasons.
Common issues
The reset link has expired
Password reset links may expire after a certain period.
Return to the Deskfactor login page and submit a new password reset request.
Always use the link from the most recent password reset email.
The reset link does not work
Make sure the complete link opens in your browser.
If multiple reset emails were requested, older links may no longer be valid.
Request a new reset email and use the latest link.
My new password is not accepted
Check the password requirements displayed on the reset page.
Your password may need to meet minimum length and complexity rules.
Also confirm that the password and confirmation fields match exactly.
I no longer have access to my registered email address
Contact your Organization Administrator or the Deskfactor support team.
For security reasons, additional verification may be required before account access can be restored.
I reset my password but still cannot sign in
Check that:
- You are using the new password
- The email address is correct
- Caps Lock is turned off
- Your email address has been verified
- Your organization membership is active
- Your account has not been blocked or suspended
Contact your Organization Administrator if the issue continues.
Security recommendations
To protect your Deskfactor account:
- Do not share password reset emails or links
- Use a unique password for Deskfactor
- Do not reuse an old password
- Store your password in a trusted password manager
- Reset your password immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
- Ignore password reset emails you did not request and report suspicious activity
Expected result
After completing these steps:
- Your Deskfactor password is updated
- The previous password can no longer be used
- You can sign in using your registered email address and new password
